We have been building these shifters for over 15 years and nobody does these rebuilds better=. We've received nothing but the highest reviews on our shifters so don't settle for a second rate rebuild! This listing is for an Original Equipment GM REBUILT Center Console Shifter for a 1968 Pontiac GTO, Lemans, or Tempest that is equipped with a center console and 2-speed automatic transmission. It has been COMPLETELY REBUILT. It comes exactly as shown WITH the Neutral Safety Switch and WITHOUT the console top plate that mounts to the underside of the console. It has been completely disassembled, cleaned, worn or damaged pieces replaced, glass beaded, clear coated, reassembled, and lubricated and works like a brand-new shifter. It has a nice shifter lever with typical age wear (See last 2 pictures). The shifter housing has been zinc-plated and is in good condition with the typical light pitting that will not be seen when installed. A great finishing touch to any restoration. NOTE: Condition & fitment is described to the best of our knowledge. We don't know your car or modifications done to it during its lifespan so it's your responsibility to do the necessary research & ask questions before purchasing to make sure it's correct for your car.
